Marc B. Jones
Marc has been working in the film and television industry for close to 30 years. Starting just out of high school, Marc found himself immersed in the world of Vaudeville theater. Through this experience he was exposed to many people who worked in the film and television industry. This early experience was a catalyst which led Marc to delve into this fascinating world for himself. Having studied the film industry’s history, from its humble beginnings to its present state, he was drawn to this most fascinating art form. He pored over books and videos, watched countless movies and documentaries, studied and worked with special effects make-up, 8mm and Super 8 film cameras and projectors, and dabbled in stop motion animation. Marc then sought film work in his home town. He worked on everything from small commercials to national ad campaigns for McDonald’s, corporate training videos, a documentary for the Learning Channel, political ads, and numerous independent productions. Along the way Marc honed his skills in grip work, lighting, camera dollies, sound, and camera operation. He spent nearly 10 years working in television production where he produced and directed commercials, corporate training videos, and marketing campaigns. Marc has also worked on a number of music videos for the rock band KoRn including the DVD KoRn III: The Encounter. Marc also directed, shot and edited a behind-the-scenes music video for the song Way Too Far off the band’s 10th studio album The Path of Totality. Music videos are of special interest to Marc and he continues to fulfill his passion for making music videos by shooting, editing, and producing videos for his own band, The Stanley Jay Tucker Band. Marc has also been an instructor for special needs students with Autism, Asperger’s and Down Syndrome; teaching them camera operation, lighting, grip, sound, and set design.
