All films start with a story idea which is developed into a screenplay, which eventually becomes the basis for the film. George Lucas once said: “A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing.” The story is what carries the viewer throughout the whole film. It is the road map which leads them from the beginning of the journey to its conclusion, or in some cases to the sequel. In this course you will learn how to take your basic idea or concept for your film and turn it into a screenplay, then develop a script and finally a shooting script. The shooting script will be used as the blueprint for the actual filming of your project. Throughout this course you will learn how to develop your story, how to properly format your script and then turn it into a shooting script.
